Re-energizing Fall Momentum with the Genius of Galvanizingđ„
September used Discernment to stress-test which ideas deserved resources. Now the plan is set. October belongs to Galvanizing (G) â the Genius that turns a solid plan into shared energy so people want to own their piece of it.
Here is your 3-2-1 for the month: 3 Insights, 2 Questions, and 1 Actionable Nudge.
3 INSIGHTS ON GALVANIZING
A vetted plan does not motivate itself. Clarity of strategy is necessary but not sufficient. Without someone translating âwhatâ and âwhyâ into a story people feel, execution stays polite and passive.
Galvanizing is a specific skill, not general enthusiasm. The high-G people on your team are the ones who naturally make others want to lean in. Using them only for delivery wastes the gift that actually moves the group.
Momentum is rebuilt in public. Quiet updates and private encouragement rarely restart a lukewarm quarter. Visible, intentional rallying points do.
2 QUESTIONS TO PONDER
Who on our team has the Galvanizing Genius â and have we asked them to shape how this quarterâs work is launched and talked about?
If a new person joined this week, would they hear a clear, compelling story for why this work matters right now?
1 ACTIONABLE NUDGE: Notice. Nudge. Normalize.
Notice: The plan is solid and vetted, but team engagement is lukewarm and execution feels passive. Meetings stay procedural. Ownership is thin.
Nudge: Activate Galvanizing by asking a high-G team member: âWhat is the compelling story behind this initiative that will get everyone excited to own their piece?â Give them the floor (or a short written version) before the next execution check-in.
Normalize: Pair every major quarterly launch with a dedicated G-Lead responsible for internal launch communications and enthusiasm. The G-Leadâs job is not the project plan â it is the narrative and the energy around it.
